Prepare the file
Use one row per contact and a single header row. An email column is required for Bulk Mail; a phone column in international format (for example +2348012345678) is required for SMS and WhatsApp.
Any additional columns become custom fields you can use as merge tags inside a campaign.
Run the import wizard
Go to Contacts and choose Import. Upload the file, map each column to a contact field, choose whether to add every row to a group, and review the preview before confirming.
Existing contacts are matched on email or phone and updated rather than duplicated.
Consent and suppression
Unsubscribed and bounced addresses stay suppressed even if they appear in a new file. This is deliberate: re-importing a file cannot resurrect someone who opted out.
